Radial Machines

Turn concentric shutters into a musical machine. Six Radial Machines looks range from quiet clockwork to deep mechanisms and broad petals.

Radial Machines stacks solid toothed shutters into a moving aperture, with rounded faces and visible sidewalls as the rings turn. Choose Gold, Chrome or Pearl, then adjust Glow for luminous edges and rays. Neighboring rings turn in opposite directions while music flexes their outlines. Start with Iris Engine, try Clockwork for clear gear shapes, or choose Turbo Iris for a dense oblique view.

Open Radial Machines

Launch the visualizer with its matching left-nav entry selected.

Quick start

  1. Start the demo track, choose a local audio file, or enable a live input.
  2. Try a preset or style first, then open the section for the part of the image you want to change.
  3. On a control with Assign modulation, open the source picker, choose a signal, and watch the slider's live fill.
  4. Use Reset to Defaults whenever you want to return to the original look.

How do I share a factory look?

Open SHARE A LOOK, choose a preset from FACTORY LOOK, and select COPY LOOK LINK. The link opens that original preset with its audio reactions. Personal slider edits and music are not included. Use OPEN LOOK to preview what the recipient will see.

How do I share my edited look?

Open SHARE A LOOK, select PREPARE MY LOOK, then choose COPY MY LOOK LINK. The link includes your current visual settings, modulation routes, and generator settings. Music is not included. Use OPEN MY LOOK to preview the result. Prepare a new link after making more edits.

Audio modulation

On a control with Assign modulation, select the activity icon to open Modulate with. Choose a named source, or choose — None to leave the control unmodulated. After you assign one, its name appears below the slider; select that name to edit the route, or use Clear modulation to remove it. The slider track shows the live signal reaching the control.

Modulated controlSectionWhat the route changes
ApertureMechanismOpens the center and deepens the tooth profile with eased steps. Beat pulse is assigned by default.
Tooth DepthMechanismSets how far the teeth project from each ring.
Wave FlexMechanismSets how strongly the waveform flexes the ring outlines.
Rotation SpeedMechanismSets rotation speed. Zero holds the mechanical rotation.
Line WidthColorSets the thickness of the ring lines.
HueColorChooses the inner ring color.
Color SpreadColorSeparates the colors across the ring stack.
Depth DisplacementCameraControls how far the shape moves away from its base surface.
Camera SpeedCameraSets how quickly camera changes or moves.
Camera TravelCameraSets how far the camera wanders from its chosen view; 0 holds it still and higher values sweep it through wider arcs.

Aperture0–1; default 0.55Opens the center and deepens the tooth profile with eased steps. Beat pulse is assigned by default. Use Assign modulation to choose a source.
Tooth Depth0–0.6; default 0.3Sets how far the teeth project from each ring. Use Assign modulation to choose a source.
Step Rate2–32; default 8Sets the pace of eased rotational steps and refines the aperture steps.
Wave Flex0–1; default 0.3Sets how strongly the waveform flexes the ring outlines. Use Assign modulation to choose a source.
Rotation Speed0–1; default 0.3Sets rotation speed. Zero holds the mechanical rotation. Use Assign modulation to choose a source.

Color

SettingAvailable valuesWhat it changes
Line Width0.5–4; default 1.5Sets the thickness of the ring lines. Use Assign modulation to choose a source.
Hue0–360; default 25Chooses the inner ring color. Use Assign modulation to choose a source.
Color Spread0–300; default 45Separates the colors across the ring stack. Use Assign modulation to choose a source.
Background Opacity0–1; default 1Fades the black gaps while preserving the rings over Studio layers.

Audio

Depth Displacement0–1.5; default 0.35Controls how far the shape moves away from its base surface. Use Assign modulation to choose a source.
Canvas Fill0.75–2; default 0.75Sets how much of the canvas the artwork fills; higher values zoom in so it fills more of the screen, and lower values pull back to show more of the surroundings.
Scene Depth0.2–4; default 1.2Sets the visible scene depth.
Camera Speed0–1; default 0.16Sets how quickly camera changes or moves. Use Assign modulation to choose a source.

Some controls appear only after you enable a related mode or style. The settings panel always reflects the options available for the current selection.

Tips for a better audio visualization

  • Keep Tooth Depth above zero to see stepped rotation clearly.
  • For a still mechanism, set Rotation Speed and Camera Travel to zero, clear modulation and lower Sensitivity to zero.
  • Wave Flex, Depth Displacement and Response need audio. Camera Speed needs nonzero Camera Travel.
  • Presets preserve Background Opacity.
