Electric Ink
Draw layered vortex currents with Electric Ink. Six looks range from fine silver etchings to copper and aurora-colored filaments.
Electric Ink draws fine filaments around two interacting vortex currents. Particles trace the lines while music bends them through three layers. Choose Night Etching for pale silver lines, Silver Etching for a monochrome oblique view, or Aurora Fibers for broader colored ribbons. Choose Inside or Fly-Through to move among the filament layers, and use Camera Travel to increase the movement.
Open Electric Ink
Launch the visualizer with its matching left-nav entry selected.
Quick start
- Start the demo track, choose a local audio file, or enable a live input.
- Try a preset or style first, then open the section for the part of the image you want to change.
- On a control with Assign modulation, open the source picker, choose a signal, and watch the slider's live fill.
- Use Reset to Defaults whenever you want to return to the original look.

How do I share a factory look?
Open SHARE A LOOK, choose a preset from FACTORY LOOK, and select COPY LOOK LINK. The link opens that original preset with its audio reactions. Personal slider edits and music are not included. Use OPEN LOOK to preview what the recipient will see.
How do I share my edited look?
Open SHARE A LOOK, select PREPARE MY LOOK, then choose COPY MY LOOK LINK. The link includes your current visual settings, modulation routes, and generator settings. Music is not included. Use OPEN MY LOOK to preview the result. Prepare a new link after making more edits.
Audio modulation
On a control with Assign modulation, select the activity icon to open Modulate with. Choose a named source, or choose — None to leave the control unmodulated. After you assign one, its name appears below the slider; select that name to edit the route, or use Clear modulation to remove it. The slider track shows the live signal reaching the control.
| Modulated control | Section | What the route changes |
|---|---|---|
| Field Scale | Flow | Sets how much of the field fits on screen. Higher values reveal more flowing detail. |
| Filament Density | Flow | Sets the number of filaments across the field. |
| Curl | Flow | Bends straight lines into curls and currents. |
| Flow Stretch | Flow | Changes the height and spacing of the currents before they curl. |
| Wave Bend | Flow | Sets how strongly the waveform bends the filaments. |
| Flow Speed | Flow | Sets how quickly the current flows. Zero holds the flow while music can still bend the lines. |
| Filament Width | Ink | Changes fine etched lines into broader ink strokes. |
| Hue | Ink | Chooses the filament color. Lower Silver Blend for stronger color. |
| Color Spread | Ink | Separates colors across the current. |
| Silver Blend | Ink | Moves from saturated filament colors to pale silver strands. |
| Camera Speed | Camera | Sets how quickly camera changes or moves. |
| Camera Travel | Camera | Sets how far the camera wanders from its chosen view; 0 holds it still and higher values sweep it through wider arcs. |
Settings reference
Flow
| Setting | Available values | What it changes |
|---|---|---|
| Field Scale | 0.5–4; default 2 | Sets how much of the field fits on screen. Higher values reveal more flowing detail. Use Assign modulation to choose a source. |
| Filament Density | 6–80; default 40 | Sets the number of filaments across the field. Use Assign modulation to choose a source. |
| Curl | 0–4; default 1.5 | Bends straight lines into curls and currents. Use Assign modulation to choose a source. |
| Flow Stretch | 0.2–3; default 1.2 | Changes the height and spacing of the currents before they curl. Use Assign modulation to choose a source. |
| Wave Bend | 0–2; default 0.8 | Sets how strongly the waveform bends the filaments. Use Assign modulation to choose a source. |
| Flow Speed | 0–1; default 0.25 | Sets how quickly the current flows. Zero holds the flow while music can still bend the lines. Use Assign modulation to choose a source. |
Ink
| Setting | Available values | What it changes |
|---|---|---|
| Filament Glow | 0–1.5; default 0.6 | Controls emitted light and its soft halo. Lower it for clearer filaments over a light backdrop; raise it over dark backgrounds. |
| Filament Width | 0–1; default 0.25 | Changes fine etched lines into broader ink strokes. Use Assign modulation to choose a source. |
| Hue | 0–360; default 185 | Chooses the filament color. Lower Silver Blend for stronger color. Use Assign modulation to choose a source. |
| Color Spread | 0–300; default 30 | Separates colors across the current. Use Assign modulation to choose a source. |
| Silver Blend | 0–1; default 0.9 | Moves from saturated filament colors to pale silver strands. Use Assign modulation to choose a source. |
| Background Opacity | 0–1; default 1 | Fades the black background while preserving the filaments over Studio layers. |
Audio
| Setting | Available values | What it changes |
|---|---|---|
| Sensitivity | 0–3; default 1 | Sets sensitivity to music. Zero removes waveform bending. |
| Response | 0–1; default 0.3 | Softens waveform changes and assigned audio reactions during playback. |
Camera
| Setting | Available values | What it changes |
|---|---|---|
| Camera Mode | ORBIT, AUDIO, FLY | Chooses the camera mode or style. |
| Camera View | INSIDE, CORE, WIDE, TOP, ISO, FLY-THROUGH | Chooses the camera view mode or style. |
| Camera Path | ORBIT, HELIX, DRIFT, SURGE | Chooses the camera path mode or style. |
| Canvas Fill | 0.75–2; default 0.85 | Sets how much of the canvas the artwork fills; higher values zoom in so it fills more of the screen, and lower values pull back to show more of the surroundings. |
| Scene Depth | 0.2–4; default 1.5 | Sets the visible scene depth. |
| Camera Speed | 0–1; default 0.06 | Sets how quickly camera changes or moves. Use Assign modulation to choose a source. |
| Camera Travel | 0–1.5; default 0.15 | Sets how far the camera wanders from its chosen view; 0 holds it still and higher values sweep it through wider arcs. Use Assign modulation to choose a source. |
Some controls appear only after you enable a related mode or style. The settings panel always reflects the options available for the current selection.
Tips for a better audio visualization
- In Studio over a light backdrop, lower Filament Glow to preserve contrast without thickening the threads.
- Keep Curl above zero to see Flow Stretch and Flow Speed change the current.
- Wave Bend, Sensitivity and Response need audio. Compare Hue and Color Spread with Silver Blend below its silver endpoint.
- For a still pattern, set Flow Speed and Sensitivity to zero and clear modulation.
- Presets preserve Background Opacity.
