Glasscoil

Orbit a glowing glass coil with Glasscoil. Bass opens one segment, mids stretch another, highs thicken the third, and every beat sends a ring of light down the winding.

Glasscoil is a lit, milky glass coil wound in three segments that shrink into the distance. Drag the picture to orbit it and see it from any side, and scroll to move closer or farther away. Each segment answers to its own part of the music, so the coil never changes all at once: bass opens the winding of the far segment, mids stretch the middle segment, and highs thicken the tube of the near one. The waveform ripples along the winding and the spectrum swells the tube; both travel down the coil from the near end to the far tip, and every beat sends a glowing ring after them. Rolling surface swells with foam on their crests and streaks of flowing light give the glass its life. Start with Glasscoil, try Spiral Stair to look down the winding, Glass Spring for one long spring turning in the dark, or Ghost Wire for a pale, thin filament. Color Presets recolor any look without changing its shape.

How do I share a factory look?

Open SHARE A LOOK, choose a preset from FACTORY LOOK, and select COPY LOOK LINK. The link opens that original preset with its audio reactions. Personal slider edits and music are not included. Use OPEN LOOK to preview what the recipient will see.

How do I share my edited look?

Open SHARE A LOOK, select PREPARE MY LOOK, then choose COPY MY LOOK LINK. The link includes your current visual settings, modulation routes, and generator settings. Music is not included. Use OPEN MY LOOK to preview the result. Prepare a new link after making more edits.

Audio modulation

On a control with Assign modulation, select the activity icon to open Modulate with. Choose a named source, or choose — None to leave the control unmodulated. After you assign one, its name appears below the slider; select that name to edit the route, or use Clear modulation to remove it. The slider track shows the live signal reaching the control.

Tips for a better audio visualization

  • Drag the picture to orbit the coil, and scroll to move in close.
  • Raise Echo Travel to watch each beat ring travel slowly down the winding.
  • Give Bass Opens, Mid Stretch and High Thicken different bands so each segment answers to a different part of the music.
  • Raise Sea Swell and Foam for rolling ocean waves, or Glass Flow for streaks of light racing along the tube.
  • Presets preserve your chosen Background Opacity.
