Dream Wallpaper hangs a patterned print in front of you and melts it through slowly drifting swirls. Start with Velvet Melt, try Lava Lamp for slow marbled folds, Neon Linoleum for tiles that re-ink on every beat, or step inside Kaleido Loom, where the print wraps into a tunnel. The music's own waveform ridges the pattern around each swirl, and loud moments stamp the fresh print back into the flow.

Quick start

  1. Start the demo track, choose a local audio file, or enable a live input.
  2. Try a preset or style first, then open the section for the part of the image you want to change.
  3. On a control with Assign modulation, open the source picker, choose a signal, and watch the slider's live fill.
  4. Use Reset to Defaults whenever you want to return to the original look.

How do I share a factory look?

Open SHARE A LOOK, choose a preset from FACTORY LOOK, and select COPY LOOK LINK. The link opens that original preset with its audio reactions. Personal slider edits and music are not included. Use OPEN LOOK to preview what the recipient will see.

How do I share my edited look?

Open SHARE A LOOK, select PREPARE MY LOOK, then choose COPY MY LOOK LINK. The link includes your current visual settings, modulation routes, and generator settings. Music is not included. Use OPEN MY LOOK to preview the result. Prepare a new link after making more edits.

Audio modulation

On a control with Assign modulation, select the activity icon to open Modulate with. Choose a named source, or choose — None to leave the control unmodulated. After you assign one, its name appears below the slider; select that name to edit the route, or use Clear modulation to remove it. The slider track shows the live signal reaching the control.

Modulated controlSectionWhat the route changes
Motif ScaleCoreSets how many repeats of the print fit across the canvas.
SwirlFlowSets how strongly the drifting swirls turn the print. Bass drives it by default.
DriftFlowAdds a slow whole-print drift on top of the swirls.
Waveform RidgeFlowPushes the print outward and inward around each swirl with the shape of the playing waveform. Zero leaves only the turning motion.
MemoryFlowSets how long the melted print survives before the fresh print replaces it. Higher values keep longer, more fluid histories.
Fresh BurstFlowSets how strongly a loud moment stamps the fresh print back into the flow. Its audio signal sweeps from nothing up to this value.
HueColorsChooses the first ink color.
Color SpreadColorsSets how far the second and third inks sit around the color wheel.
Hue DriftColorsTurns all three inks around the color wheel over time. Negative values turn the other way.
Flow SpeedAnimationSets how quickly the swirls travel and the print melts. Zero freezes the flow while the print keeps refreshing.
Depth DisplacementCameraPushes the brighter parts of the print toward you as relief. Move the camera to see it.
Camera SpeedCameraSets how quickly the camera travels along its path.
Camera TravelCameraSets how far the camera wanders from its chosen view; 0 holds it still and higher values sweep it through wider arcs.

Core

SettingAvailable valuesWhat it changes
Spatial FormWALL, CURVE, TUNNELHangs the print on a flat Wall, a Curve that wraps around you, or a Tunnel you look down. Changes blend over the Motif Transition time.
MotifBLOSSOM, LATTICE, MARBLE, TILESChooses the print: Blossom rosettes, a woven Lattice, marbled bands, or checkered Tiles.
Motif Transition0.2–4; default 1.6Sets how long a motif or spatial form change takes to blend in.
Motif Scale1–8; default 3Sets how many repeats of the print fit across the canvas. Use Assign modulation to choose a source.
Contrast0–1; default 0.7Deepens the dark bands of the print so the melted shapes keep their edges.

Flow

SettingAvailable valuesWhat it changes
Swirl0–1; default 0.55Sets how strongly the drifting swirls turn the print. Bass drives it by default. Use Assign modulation to choose a source.
Swirl Size0.1–1; default 0.5Sets the reach of each swirl. Small swirls fold the print in tight curls; large ones fold whole regions.
Drift0–1; default 0.3Adds a slow whole-print drift on top of the swirls. Use Assign modulation to choose a source.
Waveform Ridge0–1.5; default 0.6Pushes the print outward and inward around each swirl with the shape of the playing waveform. Zero leaves only the turning motion. Use Assign modulation to choose a source.
Memory0.7–0.995; default 0.975Sets how long the melted print survives before the fresh print replaces it. Higher values keep longer, more fluid histories. Use Assign modulation to choose a source.
Fresh Burst0–1; default 0.4Sets how strongly a loud moment stamps the fresh print back into the flow. Its audio signal sweeps from nothing up to this value. Use Assign modulation to choose a source.

Colors

SettingAvailable valuesWhat it changes
Hue0–360; default 270Chooses the first ink color. Use Assign modulation to choose a source.
Color Spread0–360; default 110Sets how far the second and third inks sit around the color wheel. Use Assign modulation to choose a source.
Hue Drift-30–30; default 1Turns all three inks around the color wheel over time. Negative values turn the other way. Use Assign modulation to choose a source.
Background Opacity0–1; default 1Fades the black background and optional stars while keeping the print visible.

Audio

SettingAvailable valuesWhat it changes
Sensitivity0–3; default 1Sets audio sensitivity. It scales the waveform ridge and every assigned audio signal.
Response0–1; default 0.3Sets how quickly the assigned audio signals respond.

Animation

SettingAvailable valuesWhat it changes
Flow Speed0–2; default 0.5Sets how quickly the swirls travel and the print melts. Zero freezes the flow while the print keeps refreshing. Use Assign modulation to choose a source.
Render Scale0.5–1; default 1Lowers the rendering resolution for higher frame rates on demanding displays.

Camera

SettingAvailable valuesWhat it changes
Camera ModeORBIT, AUDIO, FLYChooses continuous camera motion, motion that follows audio level, or a close traveling view.
Camera ViewINSIDE, CORE, WIDE, TOP, ISO, FLY-THROUGHChooses the starting view in Orbit or Audio mode. Fly mode uses its close traveling view. Drag the canvas to explore.
Camera PathORBIT, HELIX, DRIFT, SURGEChooses the camera movement: Orbit, Helix, Drift, or Surge.
Depth Displacement0–1.5; default 0.35Pushes the brighter parts of the print toward you as relief. Move the camera to see it. Use Assign modulation to choose a source.
Canvas Fill0.75–2; default 1.35Sets how much of the canvas the artwork fills; higher values zoom in so it fills more of the screen, and lower values pull back to show more of the surroundings.
Scene Depth0.2–4; default 1.6Sets the distance occupied by the scene from front to back.
Camera Speed0–1; default 0.1Sets how quickly the camera travels along its path. Use Assign modulation to choose a source.
Camera Travel0–1.5; default 0.25Sets how far the camera wanders from its chosen view; 0 holds it still and higher values sweep it through wider arcs. Use Assign modulation to choose a source.

Stars

SettingAvailable valuesWhat it changes
Show StarfieldOn / OffAdds a starfield that reveals camera movement through parallax.
Star Brightness0–1; default 0.6Sets the brightness of the optional stars.

Some controls appear only after you enable a related mode or style. The settings panel always reflects the options available for the current selection.

Tips for a better audio visualization

  • Watch one swirl for a few bars: the waveform ridge changes its outline with every note while the print keeps melting around it.
  • Keep Memory below its maximum so the fresh print still reads; raise Fresh Burst to see beats re-ink the wallpaper.
  • Use Background Opacity at zero to hang the print over a Studio backdrop. Presets keep your chosen background opacity.
  • This is an independent tribute to classic music visualizers; it does not load MilkDrop preset files.
