Feedback Dream turns music into glowing paths with swirling afterimages. Start with Dial-Up Dream, then try Amber Afterhours for a warm rosette or Chromatic Undertow for a winding spiral. The signal bends with your music while its trails flow across the canvas. Choose Wake to fly down a tunnel of glowing waveform rings instead.

Open Feedback Dream

Launch the visualizer with its matching left-nav entry selected.

Quick start

  1. Start the demo track, choose a local audio file, or enable a live input.

How do I share a factory look?

Open SHARE A LOOK, choose a preset from FACTORY LOOK, and select COPY LOOK LINK. The link opens that original preset with its audio reactions. Personal slider edits and music are not included. Use OPEN LOOK to preview what the recipient will see.

How do I share my edited look?

Open SHARE A LOOK, select PREPARE MY LOOK, then choose COPY MY LOOK LINK. The link includes your current visual settings, modulation routes, and generator settings. Music is not included. Use OPEN MY LOOK to preview the result. Prepare a new link after making more edits.

Audio modulation

On a control with Assign modulation, select the activity icon to open Modulate with. Choose a named source, or choose — None to leave the control unmodulated. After you assign one, its name appears below the slider; select that name to edit the route, or use Clear modulation to remove it. The slider track shows the live signal reaching the control.

Modulated controlSectionWhat the route changes
SpreadCoreSets the reach of the signal path around the center. In Wake, sets the radius of the rings.
Waveform DisplacementCoreSets how far the waveform bends the signal path, or each Wake ring. Zero removes waveform displacement.
BreathWakeSets how far the tunnel opening widens and narrows as it breathes. Zero holds the rings at a steady size.
Spectrum ShapeWakeSets how strongly the music’s frequencies push out each ring’s outline, with low notes at one side of the ring and high notes at the other.
Kick SwellWakeSets how far a sudden hit swells the ring it lands on. The swollen ring then travels down the tunnel. Follows spectral flux by default.
Ring StaggerWakeOffsets each ring’s rotation so their waveforms do not line up. Zero aligns every ring.
Bass ApertureWakeSets how far bass opens the tunnel’s throat and enlarges every third ring. Follows Bass by default.
Mid RollWakeSets how fast the mid-range rings roll around the tunnel. Follows Mid by default.
High GaugeWakeSets how much thicker the high-range rings are drawn. Follows High by default.
Line WidthMaterialSets the thickness of the bright signal line.
HaloMaterialSets the strength of the soft halo around the signal line.
Trail MemoryMaterialSets how long previous shapes remain visible. Higher values leave longer afterimages. In Wake, higher values keep the rings visible farther down the tunnel.
HueColorsChooses the starting color along the signal path.
Color SpreadColorsSets how far the colors sweep around the color wheel along the signal path.
Path SpeedAnimationSets how quickly the signal path changes shape. In Wake, sets the tempo of the tunnel’s breathing.
Trail TravelAnimationMoves old trails outward at positive values and inward at negative values. Hidden in Wake.
Trail TwistAnimationTurns old trails in opposite directions on either side of zero. In Wake, turns each ring a little further than the one before it, winding the tunnel.
Flow WarpAnimationBends old trails into flowing curves. Zero removes this flow distortion. Hidden in Wake.
Depth DisplacementCameraBends the subject through depth. In Wake, ripples the rings toward and away from you. Assign modulation to make these bends follow a signal.
Camera SpeedCameraSets how quickly the camera travels along its path.
Camera TravelCameraSets how far the camera wanders from its chosen view; 0 holds it still and higher values sweep it through wider arcs.

Core

SettingAvailable valuesWhat it changes
Spatial FormVORTEX, ORB, VEIL, WAKEWraps the glowing trails into a Vortex, Orb, or curved Veil, or replaces them with Wake, a tunnel of waveform rings. Changes blend over the Path Transition time.
Signal PathORBIT, ROSETTE, RIBBON, SPIRALChooses an orbit, flower-like rosette, horizontal ribbon, or winding spiral. Hidden in Wake, whose rings are always round.
Vortex Taper0–1; default 0.85Narrows the Vortex toward its far end. Zero leaves an open tube; higher values close it into a cone so the inside view fills the frame.
Path Transition0.2–4; default 1.4Sets how long the signal takes to blend into a new formation.
Folds2–12; default 5Sets the number of folds, waves, or turns in the selected signal path. Hidden in Wake.
Spread0.1–0.95; default 0.85Sets the reach of the signal path around the center. In Wake, sets the radius of the rings. Use Assign modulation to choose a source.
Waveform Displacement0–1.5; default 0.32Sets how far the waveform bends the signal path, or each Wake ring. Zero removes waveform displacement. Use Assign modulation to choose a source.

Some controls appear only after you enable a related mode or style. The settings panel always reflects the options available for the current selection.

Tips for a better audio visualization

  • Try Plasma Tide for traveling waves or Prism Fold for a folding orb. Bass drives the waveform, while other signals shape depth and trail motion.
  • Try Neon Wake to look down a tunnel of waveform rings, or Ember Wake for a warm, spiky wake seen from outside. Bass opens the throat, mid-range rolls its rings and high notes thicken them. Drag the canvas to look around the tunnel.
  • Start with Trail Memory below its maximum so individual paths stay readable. Increase Flow Warp for more fluid afterimages.
  • Use Background Opacity at zero to place the glowing paths over a Studio backdrop. Presets keep your chosen background opacity.
  • Add this visualizer in Studio to combine it with a backdrop and export a video. This is an independent tribute to classic music visualizers; it does not load MilkDrop preset files.
