Fly through star trails or fans of light rays that rush, spin and fold through an endless void with Deep Space Feedback. Sixteen presets, two cores, and transparent backgrounds.
Deep Space Feedback has two cores. Stars fires stars out of the center of the frame and lets their trails rush, turn and fold back through the void. Every star is born on a ring drawn by the playing waveform, so quiet passages gather at the center and loud ones throw stars outward in the music's own shape, while onsets flood the void with a burst of new stars. Rayfan fans tapered rays of light out of an off-center hub. Each ray listens to its own slice of the spectrum, a bright dash rides along it, the waveform bends every ray, and beats flare the fan and throw its dashes outward. Rays live in the same void as the stars, so Zoom, Spin and Persistence turn them into trails, and the dashes can throw sparks that travel the star paths. Start with Hyperdrive or Rayfan, fly into the Sunburst, cross the beams of Twin Searchlights, mirror the fan four ways in Kaleidofan, or look down the Ray Tunnel.
Open SHARE A LOOK, choose a preset from FACTORY LOOK, and select COPY LOOK LINK. The link opens that original preset with its audio reactions. Personal slider edits and music are not included. Use OPEN LOOK to preview what the recipient will see.
Open SHARE A LOOK, select PREPARE MY LOOK, then choose COPY MY LOOK LINK. The link includes your current visual settings, modulation routes, and generator settings. Music is not included. Use OPEN MY LOOK to preview the result. Prepare a new link after making more edits.
On a control with Assign modulation, select the activity icon to open Modulate with. Choose a named source, or choose — None to leave the control unmodulated. After you assign one, its name appears below the slider; select that name to edit the route, or use Clear modulation to remove it. The slider track shows the live signal reaching the control.
Modulated control
Section
What the route changes
Star Density
Core
Sets how many stars are born every second while the music is steady. With Rayfan, zero leaves only the rays and their sparks.
Star Burst
Core
Sets how many extra stars a loud moment throws into the void. Its audio signal sweeps from nothing up to this value.
Waveform Ring
Core
Sets how far the playing waveform pushes each new star away from the center. Zero births every star at the center.
Star Size
Core
Sets the size of every star and spark and the width of the trail it leaves.
Hub Orbit
Rays
Walks the hub on a slow figure-eight so the fan sweeps across the frame.
Hue
Colors
Chooses the first star color.
Color Spread
Colors
Sets how far the other star colors sit around the color wheel.
Hue Drift
Colors
Turns every star and ray color around the wheel over time. Negative values turn the other way.
Bass Reach
Fan Audio
Lengthens the farthest rays. Its default route follows the bass.
Mid Spread
Fan Audio
Deepens how far the fan opens and closes. Its default route follows the mids.
High Weight
Fan Audio
Widens the nearest rays. Its default route follows the highs.
Waveform Ripple
Fan Audio
Bends every ray with the playing waveform. Each sound sweeps across the fan from the first ray to the last.
Zoom
Feedback
Rushes the trails outward at positive values and pulls them inward at negative values. Bass drives it by default.
Spin
Feedback
Turns the trails around the center. Mids drive it by default; negative values turn the other way.
Warp
Feedback
Ripples the trails in and out along the radius. Highs drive it by default.
Persistence
Feedback
Sets how long the trails survive. Higher values leave longer, denser afterimages; the lowest value keeps Rayfan crisp.
Nebula
Feedback
Adds a faint tinted haze behind the stars so the void is never empty.
Star Speed
Animation
Sets how quickly the stars travel and the trails advance. Zero holds the field while new stars keep appearing.
Depth Displacement
Camera
Pushes the brighter trails toward you as relief. Move the camera to see it.
Camera Speed
Camera
Sets how quickly the camera travels along its path.
Camera Travel
Camera
Sets how far the camera wanders from its chosen view; 0 holds it still and higher values sweep it through wider arcs.
Chooses Stars for star trails alone or Rayfan to add a fan of light rays. Every star, feedback, color and camera control also works with Rayfan.
Spatial Form
VOID, DOME, TUNNEL
Hangs the trails as a flat Void, a Dome that wraps around you, or a Tunnel you look down. Changes blend over the Path Transition time.
Star Path
STREAK, SPIRAL, WEAVE
Chooses how each star travels after it is born: a straight Streak outward, a turning Spiral, or a Weave that swings from side to side. Rayfan sparks follow it too.
Path Transition
0.2–4; default 1.6
Sets how long a star path or spatial form change takes to blend in.
Star Density
0–1; default 0.25
Sets how many stars are born every second while the music is steady. With Rayfan, zero leaves only the rays and their sparks. Use Assign modulation to choose a source.
Star Burst
0–1; default 0.7
Sets how many extra stars a loud moment throws into the void. Its audio signal sweeps from nothing up to this value. Use Assign modulation to choose a source.
Waveform Ring
0–1.5; default 0.8
Sets how far the playing waveform pushes each new star away from the center. Zero births every star at the center. Use Assign modulation to choose a source.
Star Size
0.3–3; default 1
Sets the size of every star and spark and the width of the trail it leaves. Use Assign modulation to choose a source.
Rushes the trails outward at positive values and pulls them inward at negative values. Bass drives it by default. Use Assign modulation to choose a source.
Spin
-1–1; default 0.05
Turns the trails around the center. Mids drive it by default; negative values turn the other way. Use Assign modulation to choose a source.
Warp
0–1; default 0.15
Ripples the trails in and out along the radius. Highs drive it by default. Use Assign modulation to choose a source.
Persistence
0.7–0.995; default 0.965
Sets how long the trails survive. Higher values leave longer, denser afterimages; the lowest value keeps Rayfan crisp. Use Assign modulation to choose a source.
Nebula
0–1; default 0.35
Adds a faint tinted haze behind the stars so the void is never empty. Use Assign modulation to choose a source.
Sets how quickly the stars travel and the trails advance. Zero holds the field while new stars keep appearing. Use Assign modulation to choose a source.
Render Scale
0.5–1; default 1
Lowers the rendering resolution for higher frame rates on demanding displays.
Chooses continuous camera motion, motion that follows audio level, or a close traveling view.
Camera View
INSIDE, CORE, WIDE, TOP, ISO, FLY-THROUGH
Chooses the starting view in Orbit or Audio mode. Fly mode uses its close traveling view. Drag the canvas to explore.
Camera Path
ORBIT, HELIX, DRIFT, SURGE
Chooses the camera movement: Orbit, Helix, Drift, or Surge.

Pushes the brighter trails toward you as relief. Move the camera to see it. Use Assign modulation to choose a source.
Canvas Fill
0.75–2; default 1.35
Sets how much of the canvas the artwork fills; higher values zoom in so it fills more of the screen, and lower values pull back to show more of the surroundings.
Scene Depth
0.2–4; default 1.6
Sets the distance occupied by the scene from front to back.
Camera Speed
0–1; default 0.1
Sets how quickly the camera travels along its path. Use Assign modulation to choose a source.

Adds a starfield that reveals camera movement through parallax.
Star Brightness
0–1; default 0.6
Sets the brightness of the optional stars.
Some controls appear only after you enable a related mode or style. The settings panel always reflects the options available for the current selection.
Watch the center on a quiet passage, then on a loud one: the stars gather into a point at silence and spread into the waveform's shape as the music builds.
Set Zoom below zero for a field that falls inward; anything that leaves the frame folds back in, so the void never runs out of trails.
With Rayfan, raise Persistence to let the rays smear into trails, or keep it at its lowest for crisp spokes. Add Dash Sparks and Star Density to mix the two cores.
Use Background Opacity at zero to fly the trails over a Studio backdrop. Presets keep your chosen background opacity.
