Magnetic Lattice

Fold layered woven surfaces through a field of stars with Magnetic Lattice. Seven looks explore luminous coils, twisted sails and rippling halos.

Magnetic Lattice weaves crossing threads into separated layers that fold at different paces. Music bends the surfaces as highlights travel along them and the stars shift behind the moving camera. Start with Polar Mesh for a pearly coil, try Saddle for a golden sail, or choose Wire Bloom for a glowing folded halo.

Open Magnetic Lattice

Launch the visualizer with its matching left-nav entry selected.

Quick start

  1. Start the demo track, choose a local audio file, or enable a live input.
  2. Try a preset or style first, then open the section for the part of the image you want to change.
  3. On a control with Assign modulation, open the source picker, choose a signal, and watch the slider's live fill.
  4. Use Reset to Defaults whenever you want to return to the original look.

Presets and styles

Polar Mesh · Dynamo · Saddle · Solar Flare · Cross Current · Inner Current · Wire Bloom

How do I share a factory look?

Open SHARE A LOOK, choose a preset from FACTORY LOOK, and select COPY LOOK LINK. The link opens that original preset with its audio reactions. Personal slider edits and music are not included. Use OPEN LOOK to preview what the recipient will see.

How do I share my edited look?

Open SHARE A LOOK, select PREPARE MY LOOK, then choose COPY MY LOOK LINK. The link includes your current visual settings, modulation routes, and generator settings. Music is not included. Use OPEN MY LOOK to preview the result. Prepare a new link after making more edits.

Audio modulation

On a control with Assign modulation, select the activity icon to open Modulate with. Choose a named source, or choose — None to leave the control unmodulated. After you assign one, its name appears below the slider; select that name to edit the route, or use Clear modulation to remove it. The slider track shows the live signal reaching the control.

Modulated controlSectionWhat the route changes
TwistLatticeTurns the woven surface across its width, opening and closing its folds.
BendLatticeSets how deeply the moving folds bend the surface.
Field SpeedLatticeSets how quickly the twist and folds travel. Zero holds the field while music can still bend it.
Line WidthColorSets the visible thickness of the grid lines.
HueColorChooses the first line color.
Color SpreadColorSeparates the line colors around the color wheel.
Depth DisplacementCameraSets how strongly music bends the woven surface locally.
Camera SpeedCameraSets how quickly the camera travels along its path.
Camera TravelCameraSets how far the camera wanders from its chosen view; 0 holds it still and higher values sweep it through wider arcs.

Lattice

SettingAvailable valuesWhat it changes
FormationSAIL, HALO, COILChooses a broad Sail, a closed Halo, or a winding Coil.
Layers1–4; default 3Adds separated woven layers so the shape has an interior and visible depth.
Grid Lines4–24; default 16Sets the number of lines in each crossing direction.
Grid Span0.5–1.5; default 1Sets the span of the woven formation.
Twist0–3; default 1.2Turns the woven surface across its width, opening and closing its folds. Use Assign modulation to choose a source.
Bend0–1; default 0.5Sets how deeply the moving folds bend the surface. Use Assign modulation to choose a source.
Folds1–6; default 2Fits more or fewer folds across the grid.
Field Speed0–1; default 0.2Sets how quickly the twist and folds travel. Zero holds the field while music can still bend it. Use Assign modulation to choose a source.

Material

SettingAvailable valuesWhat it changes
FinishPEARL, CHROME, GOLD, NEONChooses pearly, chrome, gold, or neon threads.
Glow0–1.5; default 0.45Spreads a soft halo around the brightest threads.

Color

SettingAvailable valuesWhat it changes
Line Width0.5–4; default 1.5Sets the visible thickness of the grid lines. Use Assign modulation to choose a source.
Hue0–360; default 175Chooses the first line color. Use Assign modulation to choose a source.
Color Spread0–300; default 80Separates the line colors around the color wheel. Use Assign modulation to choose a source.
Background Opacity0–1; default 1Fades the black backdrop while preserving the grid for a layered Studio composition.

Audio

SettingAvailable valuesWhat it changes
Sensitivity0–3; default 1Sets sensitivity to music. Zero leaves the quiet moving field.
Response0–1; default 0.3Sets how gradually the grid and assigned audio reactions respond.

Camera

SettingAvailable valuesWhat it changes
Camera ModeORBIT, AUDIO, FLYOrbit follows the selected path continuously; Audio lets music set its pace. Fly travels within the formation.
Camera ViewINSIDE, CORE, WIDE, TOP, ISO, FLY-THROUGHChoose Inside to move among the layers, or Fly-through to travel beside their folds. Wide, Top and ISO frame the sculpture from outside.
Camera PathORBIT, HELIX, DRIFT, SURGEChooses the camera movement: Orbit, Helix, Drift, or Surge.
Depth Displacement0–1.5; default 0.3Sets how strongly music bends the woven surface locally. Use Assign modulation to choose a source.
Canvas Fill0.75–2; default 0.85Sets how much of the canvas the artwork fills; higher values zoom in so it fills more of the screen, and lower values pull back to show more of the surroundings.
Scene Depth0.2–4; default 1.8Sets the distance occupied by the scene from front to back.
Camera Speed0–1; default 0.12Sets how quickly the camera travels along its path. Use Assign modulation to choose a source.
Camera Travel0–1.5; default 0.28Sets how far the camera wanders from its chosen view; 0 holds it still and higher values sweep it through wider arcs. Use Assign modulation to choose a source.

Stars

SettingAvailable valuesWhat it changes
Show StarfieldOn / OffAdds a starfield that reveals camera movement through parallax.
Star Brightness0–1; default 0.5Sets the brightness of the optional stars.

Some controls appear only after you enable a related mode or style. The settings panel always reflects the options available for the current selection.

Tips for a better audio visualization

  • Try Inner Current to travel among colored threads with more turns of the coil receding ahead.
  • Use ISO or Top to see the sheet bending through depth.
  • Reduce Grid Lines to follow each curve, or raise it for a woven surface.
  • Presets preserve your chosen Background Opacity.
