Ring Master

Concentric illuminated rings over a mirror floor with selectable environments, dark centerpiece spheres, waveform ripples, and beat shockwaves.

Default demo track · live audio-reactive settings

Ring Master is a light show in the Particles category: concentric rings of glowing orbs hover over a mirror floor, pooling color across the ground and the dark centerpiece spheres standing among them. Choose a black, deep-space, or sunny-day environment for the whole stage. The rings behave like fabric — the live waveform wraps each ring and echoes outward, the spectrum shapes the field, and every beat fires a shockwave radiating across the rings. Ring Master requires WebGPU; see Browser Support for current platform details.

Open Ring Master

Launch the visualizer with its matching left-nav entry selected.

Illuminated rings, fully reflected

Up to 256 glowing orbs cast colored pools across the stage. The floor mirrors the rings and centerpiece spheres, while the selected environment surrounds the full camera view and colors the reflective surfaces.

Mouse-drag orbits the camera; a few seconds after you release, it drifts back to the selected view.

Quick start

  1. Start the demo track, choose a local audio file, or enable a live input.
  2. Try a preset or style first, then open the section for the part of the image you want to change.
  3. On a control with Assign modulation, open the source picker, choose a signal, and watch the slider's live fill.
  4. Use Reset to Defaults whenever you want to return to the original look.

Audio modulation

On a control with Assign modulation, select the activity icon to open Modulate with. Choose a named source, or choose — None to leave the control unmodulated. After you assign one, its name appears below the slider; select that name to edit the route, or use Clear modulation to remove it. The slider track shows the live signal reaching the control.

Modulated controlSectionWhat the route changes
Light PowerLightSets the power of the real lights.
Orb GlowLightSets how brightly the orbs themselves glow.
MirrorFloorSets the strength of the true mirror reflection in the floor.
Hue ShiftColorsRotates every color around the wheel.
Wave IntensityWaveformSets how far the live waveform lifts and drops the orbs.
FFT ShapeWaveformLets the spectrum shape the ring field by angle.
ShockwavePulseSets the strength of the beat shockwave radiating across the rings.
RotationAnimationSpins the rings, alternating direction ring to ring.
Radius SwellAnimationBreathes the whole formation wider with the routed signal.

Settings reference

Rings

SettingAvailable valuesWhat it changes
Rings3–16Sets how many concentric rings of orbs hover over the floor.
Orbs Per Ring16–96Sets how many orbs each ring carries.
Inner Radius4–20Sets the radius of the innermost ring.
Ring Spacing1–8Sets the gap between neighbouring rings.
Orb Size0.1–1Sets the size of the orbs.

Light

SettingAvailable valuesWhat it changes
Real Lights16–256Sets how many orbs carry a genuine light that pools color on the floor and shades the spheres.
Light Power0–3Sets the power of the real lights. Use Assign modulation to choose a source.
Light Range5–40Sets how far each light reaches.
Orb Glow0–2Sets how brightly the orbs themselves glow. Use Assign modulation to choose a source.
Bloom0–1.5Sets the glow halo around bright highlights.

Floor

SettingAvailable valuesWhat it changes
EnvironmentOFF, DEEP SPACE, SUNNY DAYChooses a black stage, deep space, or a sunny outdoor setting.
Mirror0–1Sets the strength of the true mirror reflection in the floor. Use Assign modulation to choose a source.
Roughness0.05–0.6Sets the floor surface polish; lower is glassier.
Spheres0–6Sets how many dark centerpiece spheres stand among the rings — one in the center, the rest orbiting.
Sphere Size2–9Sets the size of the centerpiece spheres.

Colors

SettingAvailable valuesWhat it changes
Inner ColorColorSets the inner-ring color.
Outer ColorColorSets the outer-ring color.
Hue Spread0–1Fans additional hue across the rings from inside to outside.
Hue Shift0–1Rotates every color around the wheel. Use Assign modulation to choose a source.
Auto HueOn / OffSlowly cycles the whole palette on its own.
Auto Hue Speed0.01–0.5Sets how quickly the automatic hue cycle turns.

Waveform

SettingAvailable valuesWhat it changes
Wave Intensity0–1Sets how far the live waveform lifts and drops the orbs. Use Assign modulation to choose a source.
Wave Travel0.05–1Sets how quickly a transient echoes outward across the rings.
FFT Shape0–1Lets the spectrum shape the ring field by angle. Use Assign modulation to choose a source.
Cloth Stiffness0.05–1Sets how tightly neighbouring orbs pull on each other — higher spreads ripples like taut fabric.
Cloth Damping0.7–0.99Sets how quickly ripples settle; lower keeps the field wobbling.

Pulse

SettingAvailable valuesWhat it changes
Shockwave0–1.5Sets the strength of the beat shockwave radiating across the rings. Use Assign modulation to choose a source.
Shockwave Speed0.2–3Sets how fast the shockwave travels outward.

Audio

SettingAvailable valuesWhat it changes
Master Gain0x–3xSets how strongly the input signal affects master.
Bass Intensity0–3Sets the visible bass intensity.
Mid Intensity0–3Sets the visible mid intensity.
High Intensity0–3Sets the visible high intensity.
Smoothing0–0.99Balances immediate audio response against steadier motion.

Animation

SettingAvailable valuesWhat it changes
Rotation0–2Spins the rings, alternating direction ring to ring. Use Assign modulation to choose a source.
Radius Swell0–1Breathes the whole formation wider with the routed signal. Use Assign modulation to choose a source.

Camera

SettingAvailable valuesWhat it changes
ViewCORE, INSIDE, WIDE, TOP, ISO, FLY-THROUGHFrames the stage from a named angle; transitions ease between views.
PathORBIT, HELIX, DRIFT, SURGEChooses the slow travel path the camera follows around its view.
Path Speed0.05–2Sets how quickly the camera travels its path.
Transition0.25s–4sSets how long a view change takes.

Some controls appear only after you enable a related mode or style. The settings panel always reflects the options available for the current selection.

Tips for a better audio visualization

  • MIRROR SKIM shows the light show twice — drop Floor Roughness and raise Mirror so every orb doubles in the floor.
  • Route Shockwave to Beat and Hue Shift to Centroid: kicks ripple the rings outward while bright passages rotate the palette.
