Wire Tunnel is a wireframe classic in the Wire category, rebuilt as a photorealistic woven-metal bore. The tunnel wall behaves like fabric: the live waveform wraps around each ring and echoes down the bore, the spectrum shapes the cross-section, and every beat fires a luminous shockwave ring that races into the depth, lighting the metal as it passes. Six physically based finishes — chrome, gold, copper, obsidian, prism, and neon — reflect the tunnel's own glow. Wire Tunnel requires WebGPU; see Browser Support for current platform details.

A tunnel that behaves like cloth

The tunnel wall is a woven lattice that responds like fabric: ripples spread from wire to wire, around the rings and down the bore. The live waveform wraps around each cross-section and older waveforms echo deeper into the tunnel, so the music visibly travels away from you. On every beat a luminous ring races into the depth, lighting the metal as it passes.

Mouse-drag orbits the camera; a few seconds after you release, it drifts back to the selected view.

Quick start

  1. Start the demo track, choose a local audio file, or enable a live input.
  2. Try a preset or style first, then open the section for the part of the image you want to change.
  3. On a control with Assign modulation, open the source picker, choose a signal, and watch the slider's live fill.
  4. Use Reset to Defaults whenever you want to return to the original look.

Audio modulation

On a control with Assign modulation, select the activity icon to open Modulate with. Choose a named source, or choose — None to leave the control unmodulated. After you assign one, its name appears below the slider; select that name to edit the route, or use Clear modulation to remove it. The slider track shows the live signal reaching the control.

Some controls appear only after you enable a related mode or style. The settings panel always reflects the options available for the current selection.

Tips for a better audio visualization

  • INSIDE with a slow DRIFT path is the signature flight; switch to WIDE or ISO to see the whole bore flex like fabric.
  • Route the shockwave to Beat and raise Cloth Stiffness — each kick then fires a ring that visibly ripples the lattice as it passes.
