Ether Weave
Spectrum-driven lattices — a cube of light that reads as a three-dimensional spectrum analyser, plus star networks and a tube of rolling sound.
Ether Weave is a lattice composition in the Wire category, and every scene in it is driven by the shape of the sound rather than its loudness. The Cube lays the spectrum across a volume of thousands of small boxes: frequency runs along one edge, height is magnitude so each column is a bar, and depth is time, so the front face scrolls backwards as a waterfall of the last second of the mix. Constellation and Filament are star networks — the first sparse and bright, the second a dense web — where every node carries a frequency and is pushed out along its own radius by it, so a hit enters at the near shell and travels outward. The Tube lays the same idea along a column: each ring is a closed spectrum curve, and rings further down the tube hold older sound. Reading the Cube
The Cube is a spectrum analyser with a third dimension. Across is frequency, low at one face and high at the opposite one. Up is loudness — a box lights only once the level reaches its row, so every column is a bar. Back is time, so the face nearest you is now and the far face is a moment ago, and the whole front scrolls backwards as the music plays. Use View Side to pick which of those three readings you want: Front for a spectrum, Side for the waterfall, Top for time against frequency.
Presets
Spectrum Cube, Waterfall and Hollow are the Cube's three characters — solid, falling, and shell-only. Constellation and Filament are the two star networks, sparse and dense; Deep Web slows Filament to a drift. Light Tube and Corridor are the column, turning and nearly still.
Quick start
- Start the demo track, choose a local audio file, or enable a live input.
- Try a preset or style first, then open the section for the part of the image you want to change.
- On a control with Assign modulation, open the source picker, choose a signal, and watch the slider's live fill.
- Use Reset to Defaults whenever you want to return to the original look.

Audio modulation
On a control with Assign modulation, select the activity icon to open Modulate with. Choose a named source, or choose — None to leave the control unmodulated. After you assign one, its name appears below the slider; select that name to edit the route, or use Clear modulation to remove it. The slider track shows the live signal reaching the control.

Some controls appear only after you enable a related mode or style. The settings panel always reflects the options available for the current selection.
Tips for a better audio visualization
- Route bass to line width or displacement, then use mids for motion so the shape stays musical instead of only flashing.
- Try assigning Bass to Spin Speed, then compare Mid, High, and Volume while the demo track plays. The slider's live fill shows the signal reaching that control.
