Glitter

Fly through an immersive field of reflective glitter with nine presets, six cinematic camera views, beat-timed Auto Camera, and audio modulation.

Default demo track · live audio-reactive settings

Glitter is an ambient full-canvas background in the Backgrounds category. Hundreds of thousands of reflective facets surround the camera in organic clouds, grids, shells, spirals, toruses, and cube volumes. Music can accelerate and decelerate the formations, animate color and light, and carry the camera through dense parallax without flattening the particles into a single bright mass. Glitter requires WebGPU; see Browser Support for current platform details.

Immersive swarm and camera moves

The nine presets combine five particle shapes, six arrangements, and seven motion paths. Default is the signature embedded glitter swarm; Dense and Minimal change the visual density; Prism Flight, Confetti, Hyperdrive, Ribbon Helix, Chrome Tumble, and Deep Drift showcase distinct structure, surface, color, and movement combinations. Every preset starts with the optional Glass layer off.

The Inside, Core, Wide, Top, Iso, and Fly-Through buttons move between six eased perspectives. Turn on Auto Camera to advance through those views after the selected number of beats. The Remaining display counts down the current hold and previews the next view, while Camera Move sets the transition time.

The composition is designed to retain colored reflections, dark negative space, and visible facet structure during bright musical peaks. Bloom Threshold can be routed to B, M, H, V, or C so bloom responds selectively instead of washing the entire frame.

Quick start

  1. Start the demo track, choose a local audio file, or enable a live input.
  2. Try a preset or style first, then open the section for the part of the image you want to change.
  3. On a control with Assign modulation, open the source picker, choose a signal, and watch the slider's live fill.
  4. Use Reset to Defaults whenever you want to return to the original look.

Audio modulation

On a control with Assign modulation, select the activity icon to open Modulate with. Choose a named source, or choose — None to leave the control unmodulated. After you assign one, its name appears below the slider; select that name to edit the route, or use Clear modulation to remove it. The slider track shows the live signal reaching the control.

Modulated controlSectionWhat the route changes
SizeMaterialSets the visible size.
Bloom StrengthMaterialSets the visible bloom strength.
Bloom ThresholdMaterialSets the level that must be crossed before bloom appears.
Light 1 IntensityColorsSets the visible light 1 intensity.
Light 2 IntensityColorsSets the visible light 2 intensity.
Hue SpeedColorsSets how quickly hue changes or moves.
Path SpeedAnimationSets formation-path speed. Routed audio accelerates and decelerates the path smoothly.
Max VelocityAnimationControls max velocity; higher values increase the effect and lower values reduce it.

Tips for a better audio visualization

  • Use lower modulation amounts than you would for a foreground effect so the background supports the mix instead of competing with it.
  • Try assigning Bass to Size, then compare Mid, High, and Volume while the demo track plays. The slider's live fill shows the signal reaching that control.
