BT Laser Studio

Convert SVGs, text, and video into ILDA files. Build audio-reactive laser animations. Analyze and preview ILDA files in 3D.

BT Laser Studio is a professional browser-based tool for creating, analyzing, and previewing laser graphics. Its standard creation, conversion, analysis, preview, and export workflows run in your browser. When you explicitly choose an AI action, BeamTracer sends only the prompt or analysis sample described in AI-Powered Tools. Live Ether Dream and LaserCube output adds the BeamTracer DAC Bridge.

The NIN outline draws with Trace Reveal during timeline playback. Hover or tap to watch.

Who It's For

  • Laser artists creating content for live shows and installations
  • VJs building a library of laser-compatible visuals
  • Oscilloscope music creators exporting XY audio as ILDA files
  • Hardware owners analyzing ILDA files from any source before sending them to a DAC

The Six Tools

Key Differentiators

Audio-authored ILDA sequences. Animation Studio can pre-render movement from an uploaded track into a fixed ILDA sequence. Play it from compatible hardware without live audio analysis, then cue it with the same track or a deliberately tempo-matched cue. See Audio-Reactive Features.

Browser-based creation and export. Runs in Chrome or Edge with no drivers, Python, or Max/MSP. Your source files stay on your computer during standard workflows. Explicit AI actions send the limited input listed in AI-Powered Tools, not the complete source file. Direct Helios output uses WebUSB; live Ether Dream and LaserCube output uses the BeamTracer DAC Bridge.

Clearance references. View the 3m clearance plane, 2.5m separation reference, and preview screen-height controls in the simulated venue. These do not assess exposure or certify a show. See Laser Clearance Reference.

3D beam preview. Preview your content in a simulated 3D venue before checking it on your actual equipment. Seven camera presets, human figure for scale, multiple beam modes. See 3D Beam Viewer.
