How to share feedback, report bugs, and request features across all BeamTracer apps.
Open the feedback form from the chat bubble in the header. Choose a persona and category, describe the issue or idea, and select SUBMIT FEEDBACK. Enable You can contact me about this report only if you want a reply.
Your feedback directly shapes the future of BeamTracer. Whether you've found a bug, have an idea for a new feature, or just want to tell us what's working well — we want to hear it.
Sending Feedback
A feedback button is available on every page across all BeamTracer apps (BT Laser Studio, OSC-1 Oscilloscope, Audio Visualizers, and Studio).
- Click the chat bubble icon in the top-right header bar
- Select your persona — this helps us understand your perspective:
- VJ — live show workflows, latency, MIDI
- DJ / Producer — audio analysis, visualizer accuracy, oscilloscope music
- Laserist — ILDA export, DAC output, safety tooling
- Creator — video export, visual quality, social media
- Sound Designer — synthesis, audio routing, modulation
- Hobbyist — general usability and first impressions
- Choose a category: Feature Request, Bug Report, or General Feedback
- Write your message
- Optional: check You can contact me about this report if we may email you with follow-up questions, and check the email address that appears below it
- Click SUBMIT FEEDBACK
You don't need an account to send feedback. The contact box starts unchecked; leave it that way and your report is sent without any email address.
Letting Us Follow Up
A bug report or feature idea is often easier to act on when we can ask a question. Check You can contact me about this report under your message and an email field appears:
- If you're signed in, it's filled in with your account email. You can change it to any address you prefer.
- If you're signed out, it starts empty.
- SUBMIT FEEDBACK stays unavailable until the field holds a complete address such as name@example.com.
We use that address only to follow up on the report you're sending, never for newsletters or marketing. Uncheck the box before sending and no email address is included.
How do I get updates or read related blog posts?
Open Get updates by email (optional) in the feedback modal to use the same signup form as the blog. Enter an email address, select Tips & tricks, Product updates, or both, complete the human check, and click SUBSCRIBE. Open the confirmation email and confirm your choices before emails begin.
Both topics start unchecked. Subscribing is separate from SUBMIT FEEDBACK and You can contact me about this report: you can subscribe without sending a report, and sending a report does not subscribe you. Every email includes an unsubscribe link.
The Explore … blog posts link opens articles for the app you are using in a new tab: Oscilloscope, Laser Studio, or Visualizers. Studio links to Visualizers articles. Your feedback draft stays open. After you send feedback, the modal stays open so you can still browse or subscribe; select DONE to close it.

Read the Changelog for released improvements. If you want a reply about your report, enable You can contact me about this report before submitting it.
Privacy
Feedback is stored locally on your device first. It syncs when you are online. We collect:

Your message and selected persona/category

The app and page URL where feedback was submitted

Your browser's user-agent string (for debugging browser-specific issues)

Your email address, only if you check You can contact me about this report
The feedback report includes an email address only when you allow a reply or type one in the message. The separate subscription form uses the address you enter there for the email updates you choose. See the Privacy Policy for details.
