How Do I Share a Custom Winamp-Style Visualizer Look?

In BeamTracer's Winamp Tribute visualizers, open SHARE A LOOK after editing a look. Press PREPARE MY LOOK, then COPY MY LOOK LINK to share those settings. Use OPEN MY LOOK to check the result. The link carries your visual edits, audio reactions and generator settings; your music file stays separate.

Hi, I'm Trina with BeamTracer.com. A look link lets someone open the settings behind your picture and keep editing. You can share a factory look unchanged or prepare a link to your own version.

Vector Echoes with the MAGMA palette and HUE set to 30. The Orbital Perlin Blob demo track is playing; this preview is silent. The prepared link carries the settings, not that soundtrack.

Which visualizers can I share this way?

Use SHARE A LOOK in a supported visualizer from WINAMP TRIBUTE. This walkthrough uses VECTOR ECHOES, whose right settings panel includes both a factory-look selector and the personal-look actions. Check for that section in the visualizer you are using before following the steps.

Open Vector Echoes, play the demo track, and choose a look you can recognize. If your goal is to keep several looks ready for a performance, the preset-order guide covers that separate workflow.

How do I share the original factory look?

Choose a look under FACTORY LOOK in SHARE A LOOK, then use OPEN LOOK or COPY LOOK LINK. These actions share the selected original look, including its audio reactions. They do not include changes you made afterward to sliders or colors.

The factory selector chooses what its link opens. It can name a different look from the one you are currently editing, so read the selected name before copying. Use the Winamp Tribute collection to explore more starting points.

Keep your edits in the link

If you changed the picture and want to share that version, use PREPARE MY LOOK. COPY LOOK LINK belongs to the original factory look.

How do I include my own colors and slider changes?

Edit the visualizer first, then press PREPARE MY LOOK in SHARE A LOOK. BeamTracer makes OPEN MY LOOK and COPY MY LOOK LINK available for that prepared version. In this example, Vector Echoes uses MAGMA under COLORS, with HUE set to 30.

  1. Open Vector Echoes in VISUALIZER mode.
  2. Start your audio and expand COLORS in the settings panel.
  3. Choose MAGMA, then set HUE to 30 for the example shown here.
  4. Expand SHARE A LOOK and press PREPARE MY LOOK.
  5. Press OPEN MY LOOK to inspect the prepared version.
  6. Use COPY MY LOOK LINK to share the editable look, or RENDER → RENDER VIDEO for an MP4 or WebM video.

Prepare the look again whenever you make further edits. The existing prepared link represents the earlier version; it does not keep changing as you move sliders. Keep the old link if you want to compare revisions.

Open the prepared link in a fresh tab or browser profile and check the visualizer name, the controls you changed and any audio assignments. Start the recipient's audio before comparing motion. A shared configuration can look different during a quiet passage or when another song is playing.

The same prepared look reopened in a fresh browser profile. HUE reads 30 again. The demo track was started separately in that profile.

Keep the complete copied address. If copying is unavailable, use OPEN MY LOOK and copy the address from the new tab. For a factory look, use OPEN LOOK instead. Before sending a shortened address, reopen it and check that it still loads the version you intended.

The look link includes visual settings, audio reactions and generator settings. It does not include your music file. Someone opening the link supplies their own audio; that audio can drive the same assignments with different results.

Choose a look link or a video

Use a look link when someone should keep editing. Use RENDER VIDEO when someone should watch a finished piece with recorded audio. A link to settings is not an exported MP4 or WebM.

For a repeatable audio setup, the Bass/Mid/High tutorial explains how separate bands can drive different controls. The preset guide covers saving and recalling settings inside BeamTracer.
